Refund Policy
Last updated: May 21, 2026
We want you to be satisfied with SignOwl. This Refund Policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for our paid subscription plans.
1. Free plan
The free plan has no cost and requires no payment information. You can use it indefinitely with no financial commitment.
2. Subscription cancellation
You may cancel your paid subscription at any time. Upon cancellation:
- You will continue to have access to paid features until the end of your current billing period
- Your account will revert to the free plan at the end of the billing period
- No further charges will be made after cancellation
- Your documents and data will remain accessible on the free plan
3. Refund eligibility
We offer refunds under the following circumstances:
- Within 14 days of initial purchase: If you are not satisfied with the Service, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your first paid subscription purchase. No questions asked.
- Service issues: If you experience significant service disruptions or technical issues that prevent you from using paid features for an extended period, you may be eligible for a prorated refund.
- Billing errors: If you were charged incorrectly (e.g., duplicate charges, wrong plan amount), we will promptly issue a correction and refund.
4. Non-refundable situations
Refunds are generally not available for:
- Requests made more than 14 days after the initial purchase (for first-time refunds)
- Subscription renewals (cancel before renewal to avoid charges)
- Partial months of usage after the 14-day window
- Accounts terminated due to Terms of Service violations
5. How to request a refund
To request a refund:
- Email us at billing@signowl.app with your account email and reason for the refund
- We will review your request within 2 business days
- Approved refunds are processed through Paddle (our payment provider) and typically appear on your statement within 5-10 business days
6. Payment processor
All payments and refunds are processed by Paddle.com, who acts as our Merchant of Record. Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the purchase. For payment-related disputes, you may also contact Paddle directly.
7. Plan changes
If you downgrade from a higher plan to a lower plan, the change takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No prorated refunds are issued for downgrades, but you retain access to the higher plan features until the period ends.
If you upgrade to a higher plan, you will be charged the prorated difference for the remainder of your current billing period.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Material changes will be communicated to active subscribers.
